Soft Power: Korean Wisdom for Modern Healing

Soft Power: Korean Wisdom for Modern Healing

Saturday, November 1, 2025 (10:30 AM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

From K-pop Demon Hunters to Korean philosophy—discover how soft power helps you heal the past, embrace your unique essence, and step into your fullest expression.

How did South Korea transform collective trauma into global cultural influence in one generation?

How has the South Korean women's Olympic archery team won gold at every single Olympics since 1988?

Beneath K-pop, K-dramas, and K-beauty lies something deeper — centuries-old principles of resilience, balance, and transformation.

In this workshop, you'll experience the embodied traditions that have shaped Korea's resilience — through storytelling, mindful movement, and breathwork you can feel in your body and use in your daily life.

One of these core traditions is Kouk Sun Do, an ancient Korean yoga and breathwork practice. In this workshop, we’ll move together through a fully guided K-yoga sequence designed to calm the nervous system, release tension, and awaken your inner vitality.

No experience is necessary — this workshop is accessible for all levels.

What You'll Experience

  • Cultural Storytelling and Hidden Wisdom – Discover the ancient principles behind Korea's rise and how to apply them for personal focus and grounding
  • Korean Yoga (Kouksundo) – Breathwork and movement sequences that regulate oxidative stress, reduce stress hormones, and enhance overall health (accessible for all levels)
  • Practical Daily Tools – Simple grounding practices to help you stay balanced in everyday life
  • Refreshments + Connection – Stay after to unwind, share refreshments, and connect in community

This Is For You If...

✓ You’re navigating uncertainty, stress, or transition and want tools to feel grounded again
✓ You’re inspired by K-culture and curious about the deeper wisdom behind its global impact
✓ You love experiences that combine movement, mindfulness, and cultural storytelling rooted in community
