Learn how Irene Kang, author, creator, and Founder of Spark Collection started her business AND created her popular multilingual, multicultural children's books in this casual fireside chat. Learn about the details of starting and scaling a business, as well as the ins and outs of the publishing industry.

About the Presenter

Author and creator Irene Kang is the Founder of Spark Collection - bilingual books and cultural toys with a mission to increase AAPI representation in children’s literature and play. Spark Collection's mission is to inspire families to learn language and culture in a fun and meaningful way. Irene is the creator of the world's first kimchi plush, Mr. Kimchi, the viral plushie featured on Eater and sold out 5X. Irene’s bilingual books are available in Korean, Chinese and Hindi editions and are stocked in shops around the world, including Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, the United States, and New Zealand. About the GAACC Women’s Club

The GAACC Women's Club is the Chamber's bi-monthly member meetup where women-identified leaders in the community come together to share a meal at one of our member restaurants while enjoying a leadership presentation or talk. The meetups usually last an hour and a half, with the first 30 minutes dedicated to networking and the next hour for the presentation and discussion. The GAACC Women's Club is led by our 2026 GAACC Women's Club Captain, Omaira Hanif, Founder of Lapis Integrative Health
