Description

Empowered to Choose Medical Decisions: Advance Care Planning for Strong Women

Join us for a practical and compassionate talk on Advance Care Planning—designed to help you start the conversation about the care you’d want if you couldn’t speak for yourself during a medical emergency or at the end of life. You’ll learn about palliative and hospice care, common medical interventions, and how to document your wishes using Texas Advance Directives. Take control of your future care and give peace of mind to those who may speak on your behalf. Important not only for ourselves but also for our families.

NOTE: Anyone registering for this event who is not a current GAACC member will receive a complimentary Associate-level membership to the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce. By registering, you agree to receive email communications from the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce.

Sponsor Spotlight

Thank you to our sponsor, The GIFT Project at Hospice Austin, for providing lunch for the Women's Club attendees! The GIFT Project provides a nurse or other clinicians to your organization or place of business to present sessions on advance-care planning. All sessions are presented free of charge.

About the GAACC Women’s Club
The Women's Club is our monthly member meetup in the GAACC where leaders in the community come together to share a meal at one of our member restaurants, while enjoying a leadership presentation or talk. The meetups usually last an hour and a half, with the first 30 minutes dedicated to networking and the next hour to the presentation. Other than these leadership lunches, we also host wellness events from time to time, where the topic of focus is on women's physical and mental health. The GAACC Women's Club is led by our 2025 GAACC Women's Club Captain, Saamiya Seraj, co-founder of A Better Force

Come join us for our next event! The Women's Club events are free to attend for paid members of the GAACC, and cost just $15 for non-members.
