June Women's Club Meeting

June Women's Club Meeting

Thursday, June 12, 2025 (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Breaking Barriers: Access, Advocacy, and Advancement for API Women
Asian and Pacific Islander (API) women are powerful drivers of economic growth, leading over 1.4 million businesses and making significant contributions across corporate sectors, yet remain among the least mentored, sponsored, and promoted—and are also the most likely to "cover" aspects of our identity in the workplace. Anu Mandapati (Qultured) will host a session addressing the unique barriers faced by API women small business owners and corporate professionals.

- Discover actionable strategies to build and leverage mentorship and sponsorship networks for business and career growth.

- Learn how authenticity and inclusive leadership drive both well-being and business success.

- Share lived experiences and best practices for overcoming cultural stereotypes and accessing new opportunities.

- Leave with practical tools to advocate for yourself, amplify your impact, and unlock greater opportunities for business expansion, funding, and leadership roles.

Host Spotlight

We are excited for GAACC Women's Club to be hosted at DAM-A! A one-of-a-kind destination where you can enjoy Korean hotpot, BBQ and a spring roll bar—all included for a single, all-inclusive price. IMPORTANT NOTE: Lunch will be available for purchase from the host’s regular menu. Attendees are responsible for covering the cost of their own meals.

About the GAACC Women’s Club
The Women's Club is our monthly member meetup in the GAACC where leaders in the community come together to share a meal at one of our member restaurants, while enjoying a leadership presentation or talk. The meetups usually last an hour and a half, with the first 30 minutes dedicated for networking and the next hour for the presentation. Other than these leadership lunches, we also host wellness events from time to time, where the topic of focus is on women's physical and mental health. The GAACC Women's Club is led by our 2025 GAACC Women's Club Captain, Saamiya Seraj, co-founder of A Better Force

Come join us for our next event! The Women's Club events are free to paid members of the GAACC, and cost only $15 for non-members.

NOTE: Anyone registering for this event who is not a current GAACC member will receive a complimentary Associate-level membership to the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce. By registering, you agree to receive email communications from the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce.
