About the Host Restaurant
Peace Bakery and Deli - Nuha and her husband, Jihad, opened the restaurant in August 2014 in North Austin and serve cuisine from a variety of Middle Eastern regions, including Palestine and Lebanon. The restaurant is cafeteria-style where customers choose their meats and then select their sides, which range from dips such as baba ghanoush to salads such as tabouli. The other half of the restaurant is a bakery serving a variety of baklava with honey and chopped nuts and other Middle Eastern cookies and breads.
Peace Bakery & Deli was recently nominated to receive the inaugural GAACC Hospitality & Culture Award.
About the GAACC Women’s Club
The Women's Club is the GAACC's monthly member meetup where woman-identified leaders in the community come together to share a meal at one of our member restaurants while enjoying a leadership presentation or talk. The meetups usually last an hour and a half, with the first 30 minutes dedicated to networking and the next hour for the presentation. Other than these leadership lunches, we also host periodic wellness events where the focus is on women's physical and mental health. The GAACC Women's Club is led by our 2025 GAACC Women's Club Captain, Saamiya Seraj, co-founder of A Better Force.
GAACC Corporate Sponsors & Partners
The generous support of these sponsors and partners allows GAACC to continue delivering programs to members and to the public with the mission of Serving Local, Thinking Global, and Being Heard - and to support our members through advocacy, education, and connections.
