After-School Coding and STEM Instructor (part-time)
Now hiring a fun and creative after-school teacher for our growing after school programs! Responsible, skillful, creative and enthusiastic kids coding teacher needed to teach classes. Must be available weekday afternoons.
Our classes are 60 minutes long for ages 5-12. Must be willing to travel to different locations to teach classes. Must have reliable transportation and be dependable (arrive before class start time) and professional.
Classes will incorporate coding, games, and problem-solving. We're looking for someone with good communication that replies promptly to emails, texts and calls for scheduling purposes.
This is a good opportunity for someone who is looking to teach coding to kids because they enjoy it and are passionate about helping kids think logically. Positive interaction with students, parents and school faculty are expected in every situation.
Our lessons take place at schools or community centers and we handle all of the booking, administrative work, marketing, and facilities- all you have to do is teach!
Opportunities for additional hours may include:
Studio Workshops/ Classes/ Special Events (evening or weekends)
New program training
Spring, Summer, Winter Break Camps
Requirements:
Interest in working with and engaging children
Passion for solving problems and passing on the analytical skillset
Belief in the power of technology to change lives
Enthusiasm for pursuing creative areas with technology such as video, animation, graphics, music, and coding
Ability to work well with a variety of ages and personalities
Able to pass a background check

This position is part-time. Depending on candidate availability and the time of year, MCP Instructors typically work between 3-8 hours per week with seasonal camps ranging from 15-25 hours a week

Starts at $15 per hour based on experience
