We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Program Coordinator to join our team in the field of Economic Development and Global Trade. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing a range of programs and events designed to promote economic growth and facilitate global trade. This role involves extensive collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure the successful execution of initiatives aimed at fostering economic development and enhancing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of programs related to economic development and global trade. Ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and meet organizational goals.
  • Event Coordination: Organize and manage events such as trade shows, conferences, and workshops that promote economic development and global trade opportunities. This includes logistics, scheduling, and coordination with vendors and participants.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term relationships. Address inquiries, provide updates, and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate program staff, delegating tasks effectively and ensuring a collaborative work environment. Monitor team performance and guide as needed.
  • Budget Management: Oversee program budgets, including tracking expenses, approving relevant costs, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans aimed at enhancing economic development and global trade initiatives. Identify opportunities for program growth and improvement.
  • Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with community leaders, businesses, and other stakeholders to gather input and support for economic development programs. Participate in community outreach and networking activities.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed reports on program activities, outcomes, and financial status. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and external regulations.
  • Communication: Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy to promote program visibility and engagement. This includes managing content creation for newsletters, social media platforms, websites, and other communication channels to ensure consistent messaging and branding. Collaborate with external or client teams to amplify program reach and impact
  • Executive Administration: Provide high-level administrative support to senior management. This includes managing schedules, coordinating meetings, preparing reports and presentations, and handling confidential information with discretion.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economic Development, International Relations, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in program coordination, economic development, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of economic development principles and global trade practices.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and capable of learning new software as required.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed.


Bonus Skills:

  • Experience in event planning and management.
  • Knowledge of grant writing and funding source identification.
  • Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data analysis tools.
  • Bilingual abilities, especially in languages relevant to key global trade partners.
