The Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce (GAACC) seeks a dynamic and creative Membership Success Coordinator to assist with member engagement and support services. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced role, is a team player, with strong communication and organizational skills. Job description:
This position manages membership engagement and growth, including sales, database and invoice management, all member-related communications, and member-focused programs and events. This position will help facilitate the development of new members, build membership revenue, enrich membership programs and provide client care for our members and community partners.

This position reports to the Vice President of Operations, and includes events, programs and projects that fulfill our mission, to champion the Pan-Asian American business community, and foster growth and opportunity through Advocacy, Connectivity, and Education. The candidate must actively strive to contribute towards a positive, professional, and respectful work environment and embrace the all-in commitment that makes GAACC a success.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage membership care, including onboarding new members, membership fees, ongoing engagement, and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Manage member events, programs and committees: Provides administrative support for Membership Committee, including but not limited to the annual State of the Chamber, Member Luncheons, Women’s Club, Small Biz Events & Workshops, Asian Impact Day (Advocacy), and member networking events. Source new membership opportunities through follow-up leads and outreach.
  • Communicate and demonstrate the value of membership and GAACC programs to potential members and partners.
  • Research potential member accounts to identify key contacts and generate increased interest.
  • Follow up on outreach by staff and leads from events.
  • Build strong relationships with existing members and potential partners, through regular communication, networking events, outreach initiatives, and facilitating special requests.
  • Assist with the development of marketing materials, including brochures and campaigns, to effectively promote Chamber programs and member-related services.
  • Access Asia Project: Support development of the portfolio of services for regional and international business development. Including professional/government partners, events, and introductions. Includes GAACC International Market Series.
  • Manage small/medium size business (SMB) support programs and education. Includes impact reports and assessments.
  • Other duties as assigned.


The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience with strategic planning and conduct work in an organized manner with attention to detail.

  • Strive to communicate professionally to various levels of the organization, such as with external stakeholders, customers, vendors, and members.
  • Be goal-driven and strive to achieve set objectives.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills–someone who finds innovative/creative solutions.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Canva, Google Suite/Workplace, Slack, and other production and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to understand and learn constituent relationship management (CRM) platforms (e.g.: GrowthZone, ChamberMaster, Salesforce)
  • Enjoy working collaboratively within a team, demonstrating good judgment and willingness to follow instructions, take initiative, and work together.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree + 1 year of experience in client success and program management
  • Excellent writing skills (English)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience in client success management and sales.
  • 4+ years experience managing/facilitating events and/or workshops.
  • Comprehensive experience with strategic/programmatic initiatives and managing objectives.
  • Experience with generating reports, communicating briefs, and impact progress analysis.

Pay:
Salary $50,000 (compensation is negotiable based on experience)

Schedule:

  • At the office: Monday - Thursday
  • Work remotely: Friday
  • Three/3 month probationary period with evaluation review
