Position Overview

Dongjin Semichem Texas Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all equipment, utilities, and facilities. The Maintenance Manager will develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs, manage facility upkeep, and ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements.

This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate with production, EHS, and engineering teams to support continuous operations in a chemical manufacturing environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and manage all maintenance activities for equipment, utilities, and facilities.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Ensure maintenance operations are compliant with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable safety and environmental regulations.
  • Manage maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Oversee equipment troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications to support production goals.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory, tools, and maintenance supplies to ensure availability when needed.
  • Collaborate with production, EHS, and engineering teams to support operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Manage capital improvement projects related to equipment upgrades, installations, and facility improvements.
  • Ensure documentation of maintenance activities, equipment history, and compliance records.
  • Develop and manage department budgets, tracking costs and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance effectiveness, reliability, and response times.
  • Lead and enforce safety protocols for maintenance personnel and contractors.
  • Respond to facility or equipment emergencies to minimize disruption to operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by executive leadership.

Requirements / Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Facilities Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial facilities, chemical manufacturing preferred.
  • 2+ years in a maintenance leadership or supervisory role strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations related to maintenance and facilities.
  • Ability to manage budgets and capital projects.
  • Bilingual in Korean a plus.
  • Based in Killeen, Texas.
