Part-time Mandarin Tutor

Part-time Mandarin Tutor

Welcome to Manhattan Mandarin!

Thank you for your interest in working with Manhattan Mandarin. Our company has grown over 10 years from a handful of students to over 250 weekly private lessons and 25 after school programs, taught by more than 50 teachers in the New York, DC, Pittsburg, London, Boston, Austin and Miami areas. Our highly talented team has experience working with students of all ages and skill levels, from under 1 years old to over 90 and counting!

Our teachers include native speakers as well as non-native speakers who know what it takes to learn Mandarin as a second, third or fourth language. They come from diverse backgrounds, including professional educators, entrepreneurs, PHD candidates and artists, and bring a distinctive ability to connect with their students and help them achieve their learning goals. Our team has come together with the singular goal of teaching Mandarin and Chinese culture effectively, in an engaging and instructive manner, that is also fun!

While teaching Mandarin is the primary focus of our business, we also have an eye out for advancing other educational opportunities involving China. For this purpose, at the suggestion of one of our top tutors, we launched MMTravel in 2018 for arranging educational tours of China, including opportunities to continue learning and practicing Mandarin.

Our goal is to become the leading, most effective group of Mandarin teachers available for both online and offline learning, while making Mandarin learning for our students easy and enjoyable. We plan to continue our expansion to new markets, while developing our own curriculum and (when circumstances allow) build new experiences for travel to China.

Last year, our NYC office was approved as an official HSK testing center, the only one operating in NYC. This allowed us to open our HQ in Manhattan where we conduct group classes from babies to adults, private sessions, cultural events, and proctor the HSK/YCT.

We are looking for additional highly qualified talent and look forward to hearing from you.
