WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The Vice President, Facility Management, reports directly to the EVP, Chief Operating Officer. This position is responsible for comprehensive oversight of and management of all personnel, activities, and conditions of all agency Public and Operating Facilities. This position is responsible for the promotion and practice of professional, managerial, and personal leadership.


WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate, or related field. Related experience may be substituted for education on a year-to-year basis for up to four (4) years.
  • Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in facility management of heavy-duty vehicles and/or rail shops, preferably in a transit (rail/bus) environment.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to heavy-duty vehicle facilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of project management techniques, including cost/benefit, cost/value, and risk recognition and quantification abilities.
  • Ability to comprehend complex materials such as technical, engineering, and planning reports and make independent decisions or recommendations.
  • Ability to make presentations to staff, the Board of Directors, public groups, and governing bodies.
  • Team management skills to fully leverage talents of diverse people working together, and conflict management to deal with complex or sensitive situations and ensure the positive image of Capital Metro.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions creatively and analytically.
  • Ability to solve complex interpersonal, technical, financial, legal, and administrative problems.
  • Must practice and maintain a fiduciary obligation to departments and Capital Metro in the handling of materials and information of a confidential nature.
